The work of transcribing and analyzing sources for the third phase of the Gender and Work project (GaW3) is ongoing, and we are continuously registering new data in the project’s database. However, we had a formal kickoff meeting yesterday, discussing our goals and time plan. It will be an interesting methodological and conceptual development phase, and it feels good to start! We also got an introductory course on Geodata and the QGIS program led by Anna Hultén at the University Library of Uppsala. Among other things, we learned how to pair a nineteenth-century map with a modern one through georeferencing, which will be helpful in our research.
